Short Term
Accommodation

Respite Care, also known as Short Term Accommodation (STA), is NDIS funding that provides short-term support and accommodation away from your usual home. It gives people with disability and their carers the opportunity to take a break, recharge, or enjoy a change of environment, while ensuring support continues in a safe and caring setting.

Respite care can range from a few days up to two weeks, depending on your NDIS plan, and may be provided in your home or at an NDIS-approved accommodation. Like all NDIS supports, respite must be considered reasonable and necessary. Family Care Australia can help you understand your options and plan respite care that suits your needs and goals.

How can Family Care Australia help you with Short Term Accommodation (STA / Respite)?

Respite care for people with disability can be for a few hours during the day. It can also be overnight or for longer periods like a few weeks. It always depends on the participant how they would like to use respite care services.
